Hikvision DS-K1801M Mifare Card Reader IP65 with Wiegand Output

The Hikvision DS-K1801M is a compact Value Series Mifare card reader with Wiegand output, made for installers who need a dependable, low-cost reader on every door. It reads Mifare card numbers at up to 50 mm, sends them to your access controller over Wiegand W26 or W34, and is IP65 rated in a slim 87 × 87 × 13.3 mm body that sits almost flush on the wall. In Egypt it is the workhorse reader for apartment buildings, small offices and shops that want card entry without the cost of a full terminal on each door. Order the DS-K1801M today from Speed4Trading with genuine Hikvision stock, official warranty and fast delivery across Egypt.

Why Buy the Hikvision DS-K1801M?

Not every door needs a screen, a fingerprint sensor or a camera. Most doors just need to recognise a card reliably, year after year, and cost little enough that you can fit one everywhere. The DS-K1801M is built for exactly that: a sealed IP65 plate, an 8-bit processor with watchdog protection so it recovers from glitches on its own, and a 1.6 W draw that lets a single power supply feed a whole corridor of readers. Its square, discreet shape also looks right next to an intercom or a light switch, which matters on a residential lobby door.

Key Features & Benefits

• Reads Mifare cards — the standard, easily replaced credential in the Egyptian market
• Wiegand W26 and W34 output works with Hikvision controllers and most third-party panels
• IP65 rated, so splashes, dust and humidity are not a problem in semi-exposed positions
• Very slim 13.3 mm profile keeps doorways and lobbies looking neat
• Watchdog design helps the reader recover automatically from electrical disturbances
• Power and status LED indicators plus a beeper make faults and card reads obvious
• Only 1.6 W consumption, so many readers can share one 12 VDC supply
• Tough PC+ABS shell and -20 °C to +65 °C range handle Egyptian heat

Perfect For

Apartment buildings and residential compounds fitting card entry on lobby and stair doors. Small offices, clinics and shops that want controlled entry on a tight budget. Warehouses and workshops needing readers on several internal doors at once. Gyms, salons and co-working spaces issuing member cards. Schools and nurseries on staff-only doors. Any multi-door retrofit where the cost per door decides whether the project goes ahead.

Easy Installation & Compatibility

Installation is about as simple as access control gets: fix the 87 × 87 mm plate to the wall, connect 12 VDC power, and run the Wiegand data lines back to your access controller. Because the output is standard Wiegand W26/W34, the DS-K1801M pairs with Hikvision access controllers and with most third-party panels, which makes it a safe choice when you are extending an existing system of unknown vintage. All cardholders, schedules and event reporting live in the controller and are managed in Hikvision software such as iVMS-4200 or Hik-Partner Pro.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the DS-K1801M have a keypad?
No. For card-plus-PIN entry choose the DS-K1801MK, which is the same reader with a 12-key keypad.

What is the card reading distance?
Up to 50 mm, so the card is presented close to the plate rather than waved from a distance.

Can it connect over RS-485?
No. This Value Series model provides a Wiegand W26/W34 output. If you need RS-485 with OSDP, look at the Pro Series 1102A or 1108A readers.

Is it suitable for an outdoor door?
It is IP65 rated and works from -20 °C to +65 °C, which covers semi-exposed entrances; for fully exposed gates we would still recommend a sheltered position or a Pro Series outdoor reader.
