Hikvision DS-K1801MK Mifare Card Reader with Keypad IP65

The Hikvision DS-K1801MK is a compact Value Series Mifare card reader with a 12-key keypad and Wiegand output — the budget-friendly way to add card-plus-PIN entry to a door. It reads Mifare card numbers at up to 50 mm, accepts a PIN on its backlit keys, and reports to your access controller over Wiegand W26 or W34. The IP65-rated body is only 13.3 mm deep, so it fits neatly on apartment lobby doors, shop stock rooms and small office entrances. In Egypt it is the usual choice when one or two doors need a second factor but the budget will not stretch to a full terminal. Order the DS-K1801MK today from Speed4Trading with genuine Hikvision stock, official warranty and fast delivery across Egypt.

Why Buy the Hikvision DS-K1801MK?

On most sites there are a few doors you would not want opened by a card found on the pavement: the cash office, the stock room, the pharmacy cupboard, the building's main gate at night. The DS-K1801MK gives those doors a PIN requirement for a fraction of what a biometric terminal costs, using the same controller, the same cards and the same software as the rest of the system. It also doubles as a keypad-only reader for occasional visitors — you can hand out a code instead of issuing and chasing a temporary card.

Key Features & Benefits

• 12-key keypad (0–9, * and #) supports card or card-and-password authentication
• Blue-illuminated button design keeps the keypad usable in dark lobbies and stairwells
• Reads Mifare cards — widely stocked and cheap to replace in Egypt
• Wiegand W26 and W34 output works with Hikvision controllers and most third-party panels
• IP65 rated against dust and splashes in semi-exposed positions
• Slim 13.3 mm plate and square 87 × 87 mm footprint sit tidily beside intercoms and switches
• Watchdog design recovers automatically from electrical disturbances
• Just 1.6 W draw, so one 12 VDC supply can feed several readers

Perfect For

Shops and pharmacies locking down stock rooms and cash offices. Apartment buildings and compounds where residents use cards and visitors are given a code. Small offices protecting HR, accounts and archive rooms. Clinics restricting medicine and records storage. Warehouses and workshops on tool stores and plant rooms. Gyms and salons where a PIN is easier to issue than a replacement card.

Easy Installation & Compatibility

Fix the 87 × 87 mm plate to the wall, connect 12 VDC power and run the Wiegand data lines to your access controller — that is the whole job. Standard Wiegand W26/W34 output means the DS-K1801MK pairs with Hikvision access controllers and with most third-party panels, so it is a safe addition to an existing installation. PINs, cardholders, schedules and reports are held in the controller and managed through Hikvision software such as iVMS-4200 or Hik-Partner Pro, which keeps the keypad door in the same event log as every card-only door.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the DS-K1801MK add over the DS-K1801M?
A 12-key keypad, so the door can require a PIN as well as a card.

Can it work with a PIN only, without a card?
That depends on how you configure the access controller; the reader supports card and card-plus-password authentication, and the controller decides which modes are allowed.

Does it support RS-485?
No. This model has a Wiegand W26/W34 output. For RS-485 with OSDP, consider the Pro Series 1102A or 1108A readers.

Will the keypad be readable at night?
Yes — the buttons use a blue-illuminated design, so the keypad stays legible in dark stairwells and lobbies.
