Hikvision DS-KD-K12 12-Button Nametag Module for Modular Door Stations

The Hikvision DS-KD-K12 is a 12-button nametag module for modular door stations. It adds twelve one-touch call buttons, each with a printed nametag window behind backlit glazing, so a visitor at an apartment building entrance simply presses the flat they want instead of typing a room number. One module covers twelve households, and it bolts into the same module frame as the main video intercom unit. Order the DS-KD-K12 today from Speed4Trading with genuine Hikvision stock, official warranty and fast delivery across Egypt.

Why Buy the Hikvision DS-KD-K12?

In an Egyptian apartment block, the thing that decides whether an intercom actually gets used is how easy it is to call the right flat. A keypad means every visitor and delivery rider needs to know a room number. A nametag module removes that problem entirely: twelve labelled buttons, one press, the right flat rings. The backlight behind the nametags keeps them readable at night, and the IP65 rating means the module survives the weather at an open entrance.

Key Features & Benefits

• Twelve one-touch call buttons — a visitor presses the flat, no room numbers to remember
• Printed nametag windows make the entrance self-explanatory for deliveries and guests
• Backlight compensation behind the buttons keeps nametags readable after dark
• Covers twelve households in a single module slot
• IP65 rated for open and semi-exposed building entrances
• Draws its power from the main door station module — 2 W or less, no separate supply
• RS-485 interface connects it to the main module with minimal wiring

Perfect For

Apartment buildings of up to twelve flats, compound entrances serving a row of villas, office floors with several tenants, and clinic buildings where visitors need to reach a named practice rather than dial a code.

Easy Installation & Compatibility

The DS-KD-K12 seats into one position of a Hikvision module frame next to the main video intercom module and links to it over RS-485, taking its power from that module so no extra supply is needed. It is part of the KD8 / KD9 modular door station range: Hikvision lists it as an accessory for the DS-KD8003-IME1(B) series (KD8 Series and KD8 Series Pro), the DS-KD8003Y-IME2 two-wire main units and the DS-KD7003EY-IME2 two-wire HD door station including the Aluminum version. Fit it in a two- or three-module box such as the DS-KD-ACF2/Plastic, DS-KD-ACF3/Plastic, DS-KD-ACW2 or DS-KD-ACW3, and configure the button-to-flat mapping from iVMS-4200 or the door station web interface.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which door stations is it compatible with?
Hikvision KD8 / KD9 modular door stations — Hikvision lists the DS-KD8003-IME1(B) series, DS-KD8003Y-IME2 and DS-KD7003EY-IME2 (including /Aluminum) as the main units it works with.

How many flats does one module serve?
Twelve, one per button. For six flats the DS-KD-KK six-button nametag module is the smaller option, and several nametag modules can share one panel if the frame has the slots.

Does it need its own power supply?
No. It is powered by the main door station module over the module connection and consumes 2 W or less.

Can it be used on its own?
No. It is a module, not a door station — it must be installed in a module frame alongside a main video intercom module.
