The DS-2CD1023G0E-I is a 2 MP outdoor bullet camera with infrared — the economical G0E version of the 2 MP family. A clear Full HD picture by day, black-and-white night vision up to 30 metres, and a weather-resistant body. A camera that simply works, with none of the extras you pay for and never need.
Choosing between it and its neighbours: it costs a little more than the DS-2CD1021G0-I — a small difference for a slightly newer revision of the same basic class. And it costs less than the DS-2CD1023G2-LIU, where the difference buys something real: a built-in microphone, Smart Hybrid Light (colour at night when something happens), and person/vehicle classification instead of plain motion detection. Our frank advice: if this camera is going on an entrance, pay the difference and take the G2-LIU. If it is going on a corridor or a secondary spot, this one is entirely enough.
Where it actually gets used
A back entrance or a service door: reliable coverage at a low cost. A small shop: one camera on the door and one inside, on a limited budget. Completing a system: the secondary monitoring points in a villa or an apartment building.

How is it different from the 1021G0-I? Same class, same resolution — this is the newer revision (G0E) for a small difference in price. If both are available, the newer one is better for the life of the system.
