The DS-2CD1183G2-LIU is the top of the dome ladder: 8 MP — 4K Ultra HD with the full smart package (built-in microphone, person and vehicle recognition, Smart Hybrid Light). Four times the detail of Full HD in a neat ceiling body — for places where the detail is the whole point.
Honesty before money: it costs more than the DS-2CD1163G2-LIU (6 MP) — and the difference only shows when you zoom hard into the recording. And as we always say about 4K: it eats roughly double the storage of 4 MP — size the hard disk properly, or switch to motion recording. We do not sell 4K without that warning. The matching bullet version is the DS-2CD1083G2-LIU at exactly the same price — choosing between them is about where you are mounting it, not about money.
