⚠️ Important before you buy: the DS-KD-DIS is not a complete intercom — it is a display module that mounts onto the modular DS-KD8003-IME1 door station. On its own it does not work. If you are looking for a complete, ready-made intercom, look at our intercom kits (such as the DS-KIS602 or the DS-KIS610-P).
So what does it do? A 3.5-inch colour LCD that mounts beside the KD8003 modules at the building entrance: it shows the visitor the names and numbers of the apartments (up to 500 contacts), and together with the DS-KD-KP keypad module the visitor types the apartment number and calls it directly. This is the part that turns a door station from "one button for a villa" into "a professional entrance panel for a whole building".
Where it actually gets used
A residential building: KD8003 + keypad + the KD-DIS display means the visitor sees the list of residents and calls only the apartment they want — instead of 20 buttons on the wall. An office building: the list of companies on the screen, and the visitor picks the one they are visiting. A compound: a main gate serving a large number of units behind one tidy panel.
